and <1 cent V/octave performance.
I'm redesigning both a ARP and moog filter.
The CEM(AS) 3340 is the best VCO , I could also build the ARP VCO (curve-tracing matched pairs + tempco).
VCA , LFO , sequencers are all my designs.
SMD is the way to go with any precision analog module. I won't make these look like any "DIY" creation.
Separate jack/control PCB + a main circuit module (like my amps). I will make Eurorack standard PS connections.
I even have a granular VCO that uses a AT328 (nano). yeah , programmable VCO.

Damn , they want 100-500$ for some of these fancy Eurorack modules. I can do better.

Amps just let you hear (amplified) sources. You can "up" the reliability , or design them to be nearly distortion free. Can't really go any
further ..... Amps are circuits to be forgotten about if listening and it sounds good. (and never blows up !).
The analog synths , you can actually design for more harmonics , or change the peaking of a filter. Different VCO's have "character" ,
more so than amps do. Moog or ARP filters sound totally different ,the music's "character" is totally dependent on the circuit.
It's cool you can design your own unique "sound".
An offshoot of this oscillator building is a function generator to test my killer amp circuits with. One can build a sine oscillator with
20-30ppm thd for this use. Or , a squarewave oscillator that goes rail to rail in .1uS (slew rate testing)!

But years later, nobody clamours for a Yamaha DX-7, in spite of their popularity while they were big in the 1980s/90s.
And the demand for MiniMoogs from the 1960s/70s has been so strong, they've been reintroduced!

Behringer has VCO/VCF/VCA for 99$. Uses the 3340/3320/ LM13700 vca. Cheap passives/controls , Circuit is good design.
Expensive VCO's use all transistor oscillator cores and Bourne/alps controls , top quality passives.

Given the similarities betweem the slewmaster series, the wolverine and this Spooky and Hellraiser SMD 60W amps, I have wondered if the original slewmaster IPS's were compatible with both the wolverine and this Spooky and Hellraiser SMD 60W amps.
The original slewmaster IPS's were through hole. I haven't waded through the many pages of all these OPS amps, so it may have been mentioned that they are or are not compatible with each other.
