Almost all external car amplifiers runs at 12v, even huge subwoofer amps. But does these amplifiers step the voltage from 12v to let see +-50v, or du they just deliver enormous amounts of current at 12v?
If the amps just deliver huge amounts of currents at 12v, how would the amplifier drive high impedance speakers? Doesn't these require higher voltage?
