I'm not sure if it's an issue with DIYAudio or with my email ... random delays in email notifications ... often several hours. Some notifications aren't happening at all.

Not "my" problem; but it used to be, another time and place.

You should work with the DYIA folk. Unless there is a known problem, they may want to see a held-up message with "full headers". In the full headers is a list of the servers the mail went through, and the *time* they got it.

Don't post that public; it has some mild personal-identification like your email address and maybe your home IP number.

Here's a snip from a mass-mailing I just got. Awful lot of junk these days.

Full header snipped:

All four hops (there are usually more) happened in "zero time" except the one from mandrill to mandrillapp which was 17 seconds. A quick Google says Mandrill is a bulk-mail service. It would be efficient for them to sort "mail bags" to reduce transactions. 17 seconds of course is not a real delay for bulk-mail. But if you find longer delays, work-out (with DIYA help) who they are--- DIYA's mail-service or yours.

We're currently using SparkPost and Mailgun (interchangeably). We don't have a dedicated IP with either currently, but plan to in the near future. Just getting our ducks all lined up in a row...

Usually, these mail issues work themselves out after a few days. If problems persist for more than a week, get in touch either by a post here or email to contact@diyaudio.com. Every few months either SparkPost or Mailgun gets on a ban list, and it usually goes away after a few days. As I mentioned, we're very soon going to be doing a total review of our hosting, email, and software platforms and everything will be re-assessed with a fresh pair of eyes.
