FET-hex explendit amplifier

John for my MT200 the decision is clear, but yet are mine original or fake. If some one wants/need MT200 layout it is on my HD plate, but due to listening results and output devices availability and relaybility the better things to do is going for TO264/TO3P configuration.

Marc
Ok, thanks it is clear.
I usually make my own layout, you can see at PeeCeeBee thread, input pair can use BC or 2SA-SC series, all in one boards.

Regards

John

Did you mean that is untested pcb?
Thanks for instant reply!

I build the BG1 version that is the same schematique. I work with eagle when you draw a schematic under eagle you have a consistant layout. As versatil is direct coming from BG1 file by "saving as" there souldn't be an issus but checking again don't hurt and is a good exercise to learn and locate parts/area on PCb board.

Please let me know post for BG1 version
Thanks again for all.

I see your job on your site.
Excellent!
I have a dificult qwestion...
Witch is your favorite amplifier?

Not so difficult, except the Upower that is not finished (the one finished on my site is the master...build from the conceptor a friend of mine), my favorite is the BG1 and there is not all presented on my web page, it is lefting gaineclone with tube buffer and zenquito. I heard so differents other amplifier (pass Zen V5, mini crescendo...) and BG1 with MJL4281/4302 is the best for me.

Yes i am following the thread. Wich 2SC/2SA have you in mind?
I mean the input pair, we can use
2SC1845/A992 (I have 2 pairs close hFE)
2SC2240/A970
2SC1775/A872 (I have 4 pairs close hFE)
so we can use higher rails voltage, I need more power 😀

I attach layout that can use 2SA/SC also BC550C/560C, one layout for all.
See 12 pads on the center
E C B
C B E
E B C
B C E

More deep bass when we use BJT output stage I guess ... 😉

till now I not try another VSSA variant yet,...
BJT or MOSFET version will be in my next list 😎

Ok i manage to try BG1.
It was interesting to listen again all of my Elektor amplifiers.
Grescendo millenium
LFA-150.
Hexfet amplifier(1995).
I haven't top loundspeakers so results are poor....

I think you are right with that harmonics spectrum. I have just mesured bg1 with toshiba mosfets and in fact the amp sounds more warm to the other amps I have with different harmonics spectrum (the difference is very very small but noticable). The feedback network is 100/2,2k in both rail sides.

BTW I have changed the sound card.

Hi borys can you tell me please how you drive amplifiers out to sound card in?
Which sound card input you drive?
Sofware in use is free or commercial one?
Thanks
Regards.

I am using e-mu 0204 at the moment, but it can be any sound card (integrated in laptop too), have to work in full-duplex mode (99% of them is working ok).
Load is let me say 8R so just put additional 2 resistors to divide voltage going to sound card (or use potentiometer), put the signal back to the line-in. Spectralab is what you looking for. You can use arta, rmaa software too.

Darlington VSSA

Theres my Darlington VSSA Amp.
This small sh*t push out 100W on 4 ohm (not with this heatsink) 😱
Sound great.Better than voltage feedback amp.I tried it with SMPS and works very good.Even with different output transistors, ofset is small.Amp works from first try 😉
Voltage +/-35V.I listen it all day,I like his sound.Thank you for this simple but powerfull schematic.I make PCB soon.I put one module in car, with smps to😵utput biased in class B but sound great 😱.
Some pictures of my 3D prototype:
