Hello folks
Yes yes I know I have many construction threads, but this little project has been on the back burner for some time, while I am waiting for parts for my many other projects I thought I would have ago at making one of these units and see what all the fuss is about. I have a big batch of original Hart (William hart kits) PCB's so will make a stock unit to make sure all works and improve if I can with all the knowledge on this site ... wish me luck, but at least a lot cheaper then my valve amps that I make
forgot to mention this is a Class A mono block power amplifier ... approximately 15w full class A

Just came across this.
Nice work. Have you listened to one yet?

Hello ... no not yet
looking forward to the grand power up 🙂
Now I have stumbled across this PCB on the net so have purchased 4 boards, thought it was worth a punt to see what they are like and sound etc ... as this is the 1st time apart from the Hart JLH original I have ever seen another 1996 version ..
will update more later

This is a great classic amp have fun building it.
For what its worth the williams hart boards work very well.
I would recommend to take care with the heatsinking and power supply.

Hello ... thanks for the help
I am close to completion soon ... looking forward
all the best
Hello all
I have a couple of class JLH class A power AMP PCBs (1996 version) for sale if any one interested .. slightly modified with 2oz copper tracks faithful to the original as possible, will up load a couple of pics later (will put on eBay this week or please email me) plus the matching power supply boards as well
all the best

Hello I have decided to put a little kit together to help a constructor to make this amp
1 - 2 new power amp pcb's
2 - 2 new power supply pcb's
3 - correct gold plated phono connector
4 - driver transistor heat sink (mje371)
5 - 2 original 2n1711 transistors
I do have the original non fake LM338K regulators but will list those separately

Just remembered I have completed the power supply in full .. used screw terminals for the LM338K regulators and added spade connectors for the ground and positive / negative connectors etc

Hello all
Just to say having a little clear out so have included a little starter kit on Ebay, please note includes 4 NOS LM338K regulators which if you can find originals are very expensive. (link below) asking £140 for the whole starter kit plus postage the regulators alone are worth this ??
The regulators are for the power supply 2 required per PSU board
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255987469803
https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/voltage-regulators/1977255
Includes the below in the kit (please also see Ebay listing)
1 - 2 power supply PCB's as per original in 2 once bare copper FR4 PCB boards (so any solder can be used)
2 - 2 Power amplifier PCB's as per original but redesigned by me with better power supply connections in modern CAD and a general tidy up from the original (which was completed with PCB transfer tape)
3 - heatsinks for the MJE 371 Transistors ( 2 included)
4 - 2 correct gold plated phono sockets
5 - 3 included ( 1 spare ) NOS MJE371
6 - 3 included (1 spare) NOS new 2N1711
7 - Also includes new non fake LM338K voltage regulators ( 4 off ) old RS part number - 663-3249
all the best
