I've built a Subwoofer using TPA3118. It makes a big thump noise when I turn it on. Then this Thump Noise repeat after every 5 seconds. But when I turn my volume potentiometer at "0" and let it make a thump then slowly increase the pot meter, then the thumping noise disappears.
What's the problem here ??

For members to have a chance of helping with your problem you need to provide full details:

I'm using and 6.5 inch 4 ohms woofer. (Local branded) and theres no writing on its back about the wattage. I'm using an 12 v 5 amp (actual ratting 3.9amp) power adapter to run all the component.
I opened up my enclosure and i see that the adapter repeatedly turn on and off until I pull the the pot meter to "0 volume". After putting the knob into "0"
for a while, the power adapter becomes stable and it stop the on/of cycle.
I think theres a problem between my adapter and my audio input connection.
I'm using my whole system from a single multi-plug and the audio input is from the back of my PC which is connected with that multiplug.
Any solution for that?
