When using the rca jacks in this deck any amp hooked up has a terrible hum that can be heard through the speakers .

I checked the rca ground shields and both are intact .

Any ideas ?

Is the ground for the head unit connected to the 12v power supply powering the amp?

Is the resistance from the head unit RCA shields to the 12v ground 0 ohms?

Might have found the issue not sure what value resistor this is .

It looks like it's a 180 ohm. See attached.
