No TP at Costco today

Went to Costco today... Tustin II. The demographics in that place has a LOT of people wont to act with a herd mentality.

No toiler paper.

Crew told me it was due to buyers "stocking up" on account of the Eastern Port strike.

He was shaking his head, me too, at their incredible stupidity. Maybe they think their TP comes from Germany?

Meanwhile trucks and trains and the Western ports are humming along and I believe toilet paper in America is.. "made in America".

The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me.

What really pisses me off is that we got lots of TP at home. I could have made a killing on Craig's List.

We have a small contingent of people who ruin it for everyone by participating in a grey market for items like this. We too have our own production and there's never normally a need to stock up, but the market outweighs our population and they'll travel far and wide to get their slice of the pie. Shops sometimes set limits on quantity which helps a little in certain areas.

I'm looking at an AFDX board... which is the way the Germans ( Euros at Airbus ) decided to screw up IP over ethernet for avionics.

I can truly believe the Germans would come out with 3 ply toilet paper.

Here in the US we call it 400 grit.

NOTE; sure enough, I just looked at my local craigslist and there are some shysters selling TP there.

We got bidet seats in our toilets.

I also have 300+ rolls, in nice 30 packs... Costco, Charmin Blue, Charmin Red, Various Korean and Japanese brands... even a Hello Kitty brand.

We go through two rolls a week, but the Hello Kitty is off limits for use.

We also have the Hillary TP, but that's definitely for display... it's too abrasive for actual use.

Our ethnic group is into washing our bums, so it is funny to see this nonsense unfold. One really doesn't want to see skids after picking up and taking the conquest home let alone get with disgusting. dutty gyal be gone. No public pool of water for me either with who knows how many such unwashed dissolved in it over the day.......eww practice, Follow up the paper with soap and water even if you have to find an empty bottle or something to wash with water when using public amenities

A little off topic but please allow me.
I was helping build the Russian Pavilion for Expo '86 in Vancouver.
A few days before opening, I'm up in the scissor lift and a group of Russian ladies comes in for an orientation with a local woman.
I heard about of chatter and the local woman asked the group are there any questions or comments thus far?
After a brief pause I heard one of the ladies in a strong accent say:
Ooooh, toilet paper very soft!
Next thing I know they are all giggling and agreeing about just how soft it was and they continued having a great time as they moved on to the next part of their orientation.
Nice thing was, they all spoke English as they were going to be doing anyway a few days later.
Certainly one of the funnest job site experiences I can remember.

It seems that Costco Toilet paper comes from the USA and does not ride on a boat to get to the eventual place it needs to go. Hoping you can wait a week and get some.
Also do you think Costco accepts TP returns?
We usually buy the Charmin pack for the 5 person household. During the pandemic we once had to buy the Kirkland brand on TP. The wife griped and griped.
