Was that the correct schematic?

You sent the 50 watt amplifier module schematic.

It is the 150 watt that I need. Also any info on pcb legend would be great too as my pcb's don't have a legend on them.

The module has 2n3055 and mj2955 on the outputs.
It has bd711/712 drivers.

There are two versions, an older one (BB20W) from about 1980 which has output mosfets mounted externally on a heatsink. THis is the one I want.

But there is also a newer one (LW32K) with the output transistors on the pcb. I already have info on this.

The original circuit was designed/promoted by Hitachi (based on a Hafler design if I remember correctly)and was in an example booklet on how to use their mosfets.

The Dave Goodman Maplin circuit is pretty much a clone of it.

the original is here A Paul Kemble web page - Hitachi Fet designs.

That is a mosfet amplifier and info is freely available on it.

I am looking for Maplin code BB20W which is a 150WRMS bi-polar amplifier using 2n3055 and mj2955. It is from around 1980.

hi fellow music lovers, i have a maplin 25w pc mosfet amp. i have thrown away my giro and decided to renew parts. i already have the mains, inputs, outputs etc in mind as i intend to rehouse the amp into another chassis. thank you in advance.

regarding the 25wpc mos amp.....it has j48 and k134 devices, it sounded very good to my untrained ears way back then. ive just got it back from the ex after 30-odd years and wonder if it is worth any effort to restore/upgrade, or am i best pulling out the mosfets and starting from scratch. TIA. regards brian.
