Sounds like there is a Tripath TA1101B working in the amp.
It delivers 15W per channel class-T.
In germany you can get it as a kit for 30€ and finished up for 70€.
I´d say it´s a really good deal for what it´s worth and probably would make a nice little PC amplifier.

Can you post url for web buying in Germany. Can't get it from the US (no overseas posting)

😀 😀

I picked up a couple of these to play with. Haven't done much with them yet though. I'd suggest running them from a 12V SLA battery - it will provide much better performance than either a wall-wart or a set of alkiline cells. A 7Ah battery plus charger will run probably $25 or so, so it won't break the bank.

The entire amp is a single small PCB, so moving it to a new chassis won't be much of a challenge. Given the cheapo connectors on the stock unit and complete lack of shielding (plastic case) it has the potential to make some noticable improvements.

BTW - the 15W rating is highly optimistic. Figure more like 8-10W of clean power.

Sorry fmak,
seen this one really late...
Here´s the amplifier-link.
That´s the building-plan + schematic as pdf-file.

(If you have any questions about the german text you can drop me a mail.)
You can also just buy the PCB if you want.:

Mmmh, links (except pdf) don´t work.
In that case go ELV and search for "class-t"
First thing that comes up is the 300W-version, then the the single PCB (T30) and finally the kit or finished T30.
