Hi there fellow DIY audio enthusiasts! i have started to build up a collection of solid state amplifiers, and until now i have used one set of 8 ohm speakers which seem to be more than adequate - however i was wondering what the difference between 4 and 8 ohm speakers is? how does it impact sound? are 4 ohm speakers suitable for vintage solid state amps? Appreciate anyones help!
It will depend on the amp but most won't, especially cheaper ones.pezza89 said:are 4 ohm speakers suitable for vintage solid state amps?
