Hi, I am looking ways to internally add a power amplifier to a passive speaker cabinet. At first, I was planning using a car amplifier and a 12v power supply with enough amps, but then I tough it maybe would be less expensive using one of those power amplifier board you can get on ebay, parts express, etc, the problem is the dual power supply, the toroid transformers are pretty expensive, making the idea of using the car amplifier maybe more convenient.
Can anybody recommend me either a cheap dual voltage power supply or an amplifier circuit board that uses simple voltage? Thanks.

You can also look for Texas Instrument TAS5630, TPA325x amplifier modules. They all requires only single voltage power supply. You can also get amplifier modules with build-in PSU, or buy a cheap pa amplifier and take out the amplifier parts.

Be aware that this is an unregulated SMPS and consider how that might affect your amplifier choice and intended application (i.e. voltage sag under load and bus-pumping).
