A DIY audio switch with volume control for PC

Hi. I'm a bit of a newbie in electronics and I'd like to have opinion of someone else on my schematic.

The purpose of the device is to allow me to switch audio coming from a PC between headphones and speakers. I also want to control volume of the audio with a potentiometer. The "two" switches and "two" potentiometers visible on this schematic are in reality a single element each. The capacitors are supposed to prevent pop sounds when I switch between targets.

Questions:

1. I have no real theorethical background in electronics. Will the capacitors work as I want them to and did I pick their parameters properly?
2. The potentiometer model that I picked is 2xA50K. Will it be sufficient for this device?

Potentiometer cannot be connected directly to a speaker level signal, well not the usual ones. Some headphones have an integral volume control.

The usual potentiometer is 5K and above and will not survive the speaker level signal and also the resistance will be too high for the speaker to work.
