Been a DJ for 40 years and always been heavily into music.
Songs come and go and seem to be addictive for a while.
I recently did a search on youtube for older songs that might be good.
I found a Deep purple track from many years ago and just need to keep listening to it. Its not as repetitive as most songs.
A slow starter but is very good.
Which song can you not get out of your head ?

I listen to a lot of music every day. It’s always a song from the last album I listened to that day. Today it was Trilogy from Emerson Lake and Palmer. It’s still in my head right now.

Great! Love Ritchie Blackmore
I had a radio from the late 50's on and listened often. By 1960 I was trying to play some of what I heard on the guitar. By the early 60's I was in a garage band playing mostly the surf and pop music of the day. That continued off and on through the 80's. Those songs are permanently etched into deep recesses in my brain. They may be stuck in a dark corner, but it doesn't take much to dust them off and get total recall.
Something will trigger a memory from those childhood days. Sometimes I'll just remember a few notes, words from the lyrics, or maybe a lead line. it may repeat in my head for days until I figure out what it is and where it came form.
In other cases a TV show or something will use a small sample of an old song that I haven't heard in 50+ years and I will instantly remember the title, the artist, and within a few years, when it made the radio.
A few days ago my wife was watching something on TV when I recognized a song from 1962 (Sealed with a kiss by Bryan Highland) even though it was being sung by a female.
Sometimes its an annoying song that gets stuck and just won't go away.....the worst, ever been to Disney World with small kids? It's a small world after all......Or how about that bleeping Baby Shark.

Recently been workin on "Return to Sender" by Elvis. Now there's a fun, catchy little song I can almost sing and play!
Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head
NEVER heard of her...but that song got my foot a-tappin', I have to say......
Does sound like the old trick of a 50 Hz oscillator keyed/gated by the kick drum, though.....

Lots of others: but ABBA seems to be annoyingly sticky.
