Hello !
I would like to understand how to build a balanced cable to bring Monarchy SM70 from stereo to Bridged (BTL) (have a pair
May be a small picture would help to understand what kind of connect is at the other end of crystal cable.
Thanks for any help

Isn’t there a switch?
It was a long time ago but i did get the opportunity to play with a pair. We ended up just uaing 1 channel in each of the 2 amps. Only 25 w, but 5 would have been enuff.
or it could be just drive it with a balanced preamp (if XLR wired that way).

Yes there is a switch to switch to BTL
But you need to connect each channel with the same signal , inverted phase 180°
What is at the other end of xlr cable ? balanced preamp ? unbalanced to balanced transfomer ?

The switch does all that. You should just need to choose the right input. You have teh manual?
BTW: I really liked this amplifier. Bargin Class A

You could have a balanced DAC, preamp, or it could just be and unbalanced to balanced converter board. Any of them would work. What is your upstream source of music that you supply to the amp?
or it could just be and unbalanced to balanced converter board
The switch brings the internal circuitry that does just that into action.

Manual is hard to find, but i did find this tidbit in a review

For mono use, only the two top red posts are live in conjunction with the left RCA input.

@wcwc
The upstream source is a SMSL SU9 Dac, can output unbalanced or balanced flow.
But I don't want to use digitally volume , because of dynamic lost.
So, I "diyed" a small box with fet buffer and volume pot unbalanced to 2 channel unbalanced Monarchy
I've some Jensen, edcor, Lundahl transformers, I'm gonna build a symetric converter.
@planet10
The schematics are top-secret defense, never seen any information,
"two top red posts are live in conjunction with the left RCA input "
In BTL mode, like initial picture, only "hot" (red) outputs are connected, 2 channels in fonction, opposite phase , the question is "who inverts the rca input"
Thanks ! i'ts late there, (1;20 AM), tomorrow will be another day

Circuitry in the amp, controlled by the switch.
