I have a weird issue with this head unit .
If I turn the headunit off the screen goes black but the headunit remains on doesn’t play audio but the headunit is still on and supplying 12 volts through the remote wire to amps .
it’s almost like it’s half way shutting down but not completely.
Any ideas ?

I called alpine and they said it was designed this way . They said as Long as the accessory wire has voltage the remote wire will have voltage and the only way to fully turn the headunit off it to shut the vehicle off .
Wondering if there Is any mod that will fix this issue

Why would they do this? This means that if you're on a long (or any ) drive and you turn the head unit off, all of the amplifiers will be on. This makes no sense.
Was it doing this when you first got the head unit?
You could put a switch inline with either the acc or the remote output line to break either 12v line.

It was doing this when I first got the headunit . I always wondered why the amps never turned off or when the deck was supposedly off the amps would come on when I start my truck .
Not sure why alpine designed it this way . Either I will put a toggle inline with the remote wire or just buy a different headunit
