Hey guys , i have a MRV-F400 in mint condition ,
what should i do next ?
Yes , it has only been in use for 3 years since purchased in 1998'
That's cause my dad used it for a while and changed cars and never used it again .
No matter , should i use for a guitar amp power amp section
OR ,
a bass amp ?
( Don't say it's for cars , this was the utmost high-end of alpine's back then , and also alpine made properly good amps . )
It works damn well ,
here are the specs ( i just opened it up , the power section transistors look tip-top )
Using 4 channels will be out of the question , i will use it to create 160W @ 4 ohms bridged into 2 channels .

Per Channel into 4 ohms: 60W x 4 (0.08% THD)
Per Channel into 2 ohms: 80W x 4 (0.3% THD)
Bridged 2 Channel into 4 ohms: 160W x 2 (0.3% THD)
So i can probably squeeze out tons of power before it even hits 1% THD , who won't agree ?
And also , there are is both selectable LPF/HPF for the channels , not to mention a selectable 50hz to 200hz crossover ,
selectable gain ( 0.5V on 3 o'clock position ) , input mode selector , for each channel , mmm , sound good .
i might rewire another kind of pot into the gain so it can outboard adjustable !
