ALR Jordan Entry 2m crossover Upgrade

Hi there!
I am currently listening through some ALR Jordan Entry 2m standmount speakers (via AmpCampAmp+Pre, sounds wonderful) and was wondering if I could replace the inductors with some aircore ones, use better capacitors and maybe even resistors. Problem is that I don't see a way to find out the values of the parts as some are not written onto them. Is there a way to find them out? Any help and ideas are much appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Cheers,
Johannes

There are certainly values marked on the yellow film capacitors in this image of the Entry 2M crossover.

With the exception of the iron core inductor, I would have expected the values to be marked on all the components.

P.S. I wouldn't change a thing!

Thank you for your answers. Interestingly my crossover looks very different as you can see. I wonder why this is the case? I can see on the yellow capacitor 6.2, so I could get a Jantzen Cross Cap 6.2 as replacement?! What about the electrolytic capacitors, do I replace them with the same kind? And is there a way to find out which inductors they used?

Yes I saw that too. Honestly I don't know, I bought this speaker from eBay some years ago. I also have a pair of Entry M speakers which xover is labeled "Entry L". So I think that must me normal?! Maybe they used the same topology for their bigger floorstanders too as they are the same speaker only taller. Anyways the crossover should be ok as I performs well. I was just hoping to get some more detail out of the chassis by replacing the old parts potentially with better quality parts.

They really sound fantastic, I was just curious about a xover tweak to see what difference this can make.

Changing the components for different types may make a difference, but not necessarily for the better.

The ALR Entry 2M speakers were described as "something of a 'poor man's reference' in the UK budget sector".

Obviously the designers have done something right and I would not disturb their carefully designed crossover.

These speakers appear to have been released around 15 years ago. Rest assured that the electrolytic capacitors will still be in good condition and will remain so for at least as long again.

Ok probably you are right. I think I was just inspired or hooked by the crossover upgrades GR Research is offering. But obviously they design a completely new topology, which alters the sound. That is actually not even my goal, I like them as they are. At some point I will probably just get a newer speaker with higher resolution. Thanks!

Beautiful speakers that could do with a proper overhaul;-) Not only the crossover parts, and conceivably the crossover, but also the cable - "Klingeldraht, einadrig 0.6 mm, Baumarkt" sounds clearer and more contoured than this visible blue one - installation and fixing of the chassis, then a little damping, other small things. Could sound great;-)
They would then also be better able to deal with the qualities of an Single Ended;-)
