Anodizing anodized aluminum

Does anyone know how, where to anodize already anodized aluminum knobs ?
They're black but need them to be gold. I guess stripping off black color comes first. There are anodizing kits online but I don't want to pay an arm and leg for changing the color of small knobs 25mm and 35mm in diameter.
Maybe someone has already such a kit at home ?
Willing to pay for a good service 🙂

It is easy to remove the anodizing, lye will do it. But the black color most likely is a dye used under the finished surface. You are better off starting with natural aluminum. Most folks offer the same knobs in both colors. My anodizer charges $45 minimum. The idea of how to anodize is simple, getting good results is not.

This is what I'm looking for. Have the same amp but black knobs which take away good look.

sidenote, one can achieve black aluminium via anodizeing.
suposedly if i remember correctly a strong acid will do the trick.
//before experimenting wait till someone verifys my memories and recommends an acid//
