I'm planning on purchasing the Earthquake 10" Front Firing Subwoofer. I was wondering if any of you guys have gotten it and what your thoughts are on it?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Kinda leery here, the website offers up no hard data regarding performance specifications. What detail they do offer up is of no real value, just marketing.
Why not build one yourself? You can learn an awful lot when designing & building a sub for yourself........often building one better & to your own desires & specifications. ???

I have a thought.
You are at DIY audio.
With a little bit of effort you can build a 12" or even an 15" for about the same amount of money.
Even if it cost a little more, the bigger speaker in the correct cabinet will really do earthquakes well.
.
2 Infinity 1260 or 1262-12" ($75 Ea.) car subs only need 2 cubic foot ported cabinets to have an F-6 dB in the mid 20 Hz range.
I have 2 in sealed 2.5 ft. cabinets and they have a rising response down to 35 Hz due to room gain.
With ~ 600 watts the pair will do 35 Hz at 112 to 115 dB (scary loud), ported versions will go lower.
