Atc scm 100 port length and cabinet Dimensions?

I have Wilmslow audio's K100's which I have modded to be closer to original ATC's. I have lined the cabinets with egg box foam and replaced the tweeter with the correct seas unit, but I will be replacing those with ATC ones. I also replaced the bass units with sl ones( dont ask, how I managed to get those it was just luck!) I read here that the correct port length is 4 inches wide and 8 inches long which is what I did, but looking at the pic of genuine ATC's the port looks wider and someone told me the port in genuine ATC's had an elbow in in and it is more like 12 inches in length. Also I have been told the entire bottom of the cabinet is stuffed, but I dont know what with though. Does anyone know the internal dimensions of either the scm100 classics or the towers as going by the external dimensions they are more than 100 liters inside? Looking at the external dimensions of mine and the genuine ATC's I am convinced genuine ones are more. If so I am thinking to build new boxes, but knowing the correct size would be a big help.
Cheers
Chris

Total internal volume (net) for ATC SCM100

You must have some starting point, no?! 😀
ATC Loudspeakers > Classic Series > SCM100 link
Cabinet Dimensions(HxWxD): 834x400x530mm
ATC Loudspeakers > Tower Series > SCM100ASLT link
Cabinet Dimensions (HxWxD): 1070x397x505mm (amp +55mm?)
ATC Loudspeakers > Special Editions > SCM100 Anniversary link
Cabinet Dimensions (HxWxD): 1104x495x580mm (amp +55mm?)
The actual drive units are fixed to a baffle that’s also in black and adds another 34mm to the braced 18mm thickness of the cabinet. link

This makes external Dim., as stated above,
ATC SCM100: 834x400x496mm
ATC SCM100ASLT: 1070x397x471mm
ATC SCM100 Anniversary: 1104x495x546mm

ATC SCM100: 165.47 liters
ATC SCM100ASLT: 200.08 liters
ATC SCM100 Anniversary: 298.38 liters

This makes internal Vols. Net (no drivers/no ports/no bracings),
ATC SCM100: 133.6 L
ATC SCM100ASLT: 162.4 L
ATC SCM100 Anniversary: 250 L

Thanks 🙂
The Wilmslow boxes then are probably too small unless they considered 100 liters when the drivers are fitted?
They are still very small though compared to the towers, I am away for a couple of weeks, but when I get home I will be ordering some mdf, any thoughts on the correct thickness?
Now I just need to get the port dimensions..
Cheers
Chris

Port dimensions (besides the originals or Wimslows) are made for specific net/vol. and tuning. What speaker is yours that you will be DIYing. I think you mentioned the towers already?! Best. (Note: did u gave reference for your woofer to the forum already?)

I have the Wilmslow's k100's except they have the correct Seas tweeter, are foam lined and have the correct sl bass units which I was very lucky indeed to find. I will be getting the new ATC tweeters so I want to go the whole way and make cabinets of the correct dimensions with the correct ATC port length. I know ATC dont tune the port for any bass frequency, I also know the Wilmslow port is wrong, but I dont know the correct length of either the ATC classics or the towers. Apparently the new towers and classics are filled with wool not foam lined anymore either. So basically I have the correct drivers and from your help I know the approximate size of the cabinets, I also know what to stuff the cabinet with, but I still dont know the port length, has anyone any pics or has anyone opened a scm 100 to service it?
Cheers

From the website SCM100ASL Pro Documentation (2nd pdf) you have a 10cm (/4") port and -6dB@32Hz free-standing (1st pdf).
http://www.atcloudspeakers.co.uk/professional/loudspeakers/scm100asl-pro/

""correct sl bass units"" 😀 😕
Do you have the complete reference for the ATC 75-314 woofers (so that we can use the right specs when doing the reverse engineering and simulations?

I am not at home at the moment and I wont be for a couple of weeks but I am sure the number on the driver is an sb code ie sb75-314sl. The drivers are definetly sl spec ones I know how lucky I am to get them, even though they cost me quite a bit. The sl are short coil as far as I know and are 8 ohms. I have tried to get the specs for the sl drivers, but I cant find them listed anywhere on the web, all I can find is the normal sb75-314sc that you get from Wilmslow. My old Wilmslow drivers will be for sale when I get home as I am fed up of seeing them in boxes next to my speakers which is where they have lived since I installed the sl units. When I sell them I will put the money into atc tweeters.

I am not home as I said, but I am fairly sure the sl's code is sb75-314sl and yes the surround is rubber. Size wise they seem identical to the sb75-314sc which surprised me but when I looked up on the ATC site the difference the bit that is different is round the coil so externally they would be the same. Do you have the specs for the sl version too?

I know this is an old thread but has anybody found out the port lenght of the SCM100ASL?
I am building a clone soon, I have all the dimensions from the pdf on page 1 of this thread but missing the exact port lenght 🙁

is the original ATC SCM100 ASL completely filled with wool?

hi Hugo,
the port lenght of my SCM100A (not ASL) is 20,4 cm and 10,2 cm in Diameter. And yes, the whole cabinet is fullfilled with damping material.
