I have been looking at various schematics of 12, 18 & 24Db crossovers and noticed something. Long story short, I am wondering if, on the resistor module, that the two groups of three resistors can be changed to get a overlap or underlap of crossover frequencies? It seems like one group controls the low pass and the other group controls the high pass. Has anyone looked at this and can add some info????
It depends on the circuit. For example, a 'state variable' crossover/filter produces both a high pass and a low pass from one combination of resistors and capacitors. For that circuit, changing the resistors or capacitors would shift both the high and low pass.
If there were individual state variable circuits for the high and low pass, you could select any over/underlap you wanted, just like sallen-key circuits.

That's the problem. I'm not sure which type it is. And AudioControl won't release the schematics. I was hoping someone has looked that the PCB and determined if it is possible. I have tried tracing out a PCB a few times in the past with no luck.
I'll post pics of both sides of the PCB shorty.

Hee are the pics of the PCB (both sides). The trace side has been flipped so that it matches the component side for placement. Perhaps someone can trace out enough to determine what style of circuit it is and if changing resistor values will allow overlap or underlap of the crossover point.

State variable. I don't think that you can change the overlap. Someone will correct me if that's not correct.
