Hi All,
I have a subwoofer with a faulty diode i can not recognize value on.
Need help to find out some more info on it.There is no marking on it,nothing.
Just a blue ring on it, see picture.
I have attached pictures of it and the amplifier it came from.

I Think i found a major fault in speaker relay.
It stays on even if i toggle power on /off.
I took relay out to measure it with just powering it and measure with ohm meter trough
contact set NO (Normally Open) but it is closed all the time.
Could this be my case to loudly hum at startup?

Type of relay: RWH-SH-112DM (Goodsky) Is this bad quality relay?

In fact speaker relays do not protect the speaker in case of melting output transistors - they arc ending in welded contacts.
On the other hand they are a common source of failures.
It is a myth that speaker relays in high power amps are any good.
