My friend and I have used their C-QUENZE midrange in a three way design. It is very special.
We made a group buy direct from the factory (yes, they used to do that and may no longer now they've been bought by Seas) I think we got a price break at ten units (that's only 5 stereo pairs) unless you go MTM then even fewer people need to be in the group..
We also used the revelator tweeter designed by the same Mr. Skaaning. As well as a woofer from Scan Speak that claims a direct heritage from Mr. Skaaning.
The midrange provides that magic mixture of great detail and transparancy without hardness or edgyness. Not an easy compromize. It also has a low enough Fs that the crossover frequency can be below most human voice content allowing for a very natural voice with great weight and richness
The midrnage will demand a good crossover design and better than average quality coils and capacitors to really show off it's abilities. While they are not inexpensive, I feel they hold their own with the best midranges I've ever heard and that includes my own Martin Logan Electrostatics. I also feel that their midrange competes well with the Accouton ceramic cone drivers but with better dynamics.
In my opinion you can not go far wrong with their drivers.

Email AT, Per Skaaning always replies to emails very promptly and if there is no local distributor you can buy direct, the price breaks are on their website with discounts starting at 3+ drivers! I'll be sending my C-Quenzes back shortly for reconing, they are currently 4Ohm units for use in the car, but I am changing for something a little more beefy. The C-Quenzes will be re-conned to 8Ohms for use in some nice home speakers with some fountek ribbons I have sat idle.

I have a 15cm and 18cm C-quenze drivers going into my vehicle and I love them..I'm paring them with the Hiquphon OW1FS..a great match up and incredible drivers
Prices are cheapest for those living in a country without official reseller. Then you can order from them directly. And yes, discount starts at quite low numbers.
Are you looking for a C-Quenze- (i.e. "standard") or a Flex Unit- (custom built) driver ?

I want to buy flex-unit drivers of audiotechnology,in comparison with accuton midrange-woofers,midrange who is the winner?
My friend and I spent many months trying to wring the best performance out of the Accutons. We tried the C2-79, 88 and 92. The resolution was spectacular.
The Accutons are very sensitive to upstream quality, both the electronics and the crossover parts. It's no accident that Kharma recommends vacuum tube amplification. They will ruthlessly reveal any hardness, edgyness or harshness in the upsteam components.
In the end we gave up and changed to the Audiotechnology drivers. The biggest single difference was the the Accutons always suffered from a constricted dynamic range, the Audiotechnologies drivers did not. Additionally, the Audiotechnology driver is much easier to voice on the warm side of neutral, the Accuton will resist attempts in that direction and doesn't quite achieve neutral IMHO.
ps. If you choose the Accutons, remove the damn metal grilles, they ring like a chime.
pps. I was unable to find the reference to Audiotechnology being sold, I'm not at all sure where I saw it, so for now please assume I was incorrect in an earlier posting.
