I have a pleasure (?) to deal with benz-micro.com repair service, but I found myself in a curious situation.
Here's a brief step by step:
1. Cartridge broken, service contacted, a checkup offered.
2. Cartridge received at their end. Repair is possible. When asked about payment methods, bank transfer or Western Union offered only.
3. When I'm not able to deal via paypal, I'm always get a little bit suspicious, so I start browsing.
4. One US dealer states: „WARNING: Benz-Micro Switzerland has notified us that the email address "contact@benz-micro.com" and the website " www.benz-micro.com" is operated by a third-party not affiliated with Benz-Micro Switzerland.”
5. I ask kindly to confirm their affiliation directly via email.
6. Benz-micro.com doesn't provide any direct answers and offers to send back my cartridge if I'm not satisfied with their service.
7. After two more emails, explaining why I need to know who I'm dealing with, they find that I'm "very cumbersome to work with" and only can state that their parts are genuine.
Now, if anybody have ever dealt with this service, or now something about the guys behind, could you please, share your experiences. I'm puzzled what to do next.

Get your cartridge back and arrange to send it to Soundsmith in Peekskill, New York, USA. http://sound-smith.com They've repaired and re-tipped a Benz Glider of mine 3 times and always do a great job. Depending on your cartridge model, you might only need their middle tier (approximately $250) re-tip.
