I am looking for Subwoofer Driver 15" or 18" that could hit below 20Hz in sealed GSG BTS Sealed enclosure(4.75cuft). What would be some good and reliable options under $500. I was considering drivers from Dayton Audio but heard that lately they been having a lot of QC and reliability issues over time. What other options are there. That could go below 20hz. Will be used for theater setup.
Around 110-115db. And no some drivers I been seeing have a steeper roll-off below 35-30Hz. They don't get loud enough at around 15Hz. Dayton Audio UM and MX are the two that go down to 16Hz without crazy roll-off in Sealed enclosure. But with all the reliability issues I been coming through from threads in past year or two I am not comfortable getting them. So am trying to find alternates at around same budget range.
Look for FaitalPro 18" with Fs ~28Hz. Closed box will be big unless you go bassreflex tuned very low.
The one you mentioned is extremely expensive. Looking for something under $500Look for FaitalPro 18" with Fs ~28Hz. Closed box will be big unless you go bassreflex tuned very low.

Wow new series. But seriously I am not sure on its QC and Reliability. I head that they switched their Manufacturing plant or something and since then it went down. I am not sure if I should spend on Dayton Audio
That indeed looks really good for what I need. But am not 100% sure on itDayton has a new version of the Ultimax available for preorder

You could risk daytons from parts express, they are pretty good in replacing if something is wrong. Do you use dats v3?
Purchase is for Canada and also India. But seriously it shouldn't be needing a replacement. They used to be seriously good with their products. And specially speakers and Subs specially the Passive ones are expected to last for Decades. Reliability is important.
Generally unsatisfying to deal with posts proposing untethered fantasy requirements. But off to a good start now that we know a few parameters.
What kind of music? What size room? Mixed bass? What cross-over points and slopes and how achieved? Smoke alarms in room? What level of damage to hearing acceptable?

In terms of Vd per dollar, the UM18 is difficult to beat at USD $90/L. However, 4x GRS 12SW-4HE at PE's current sale price comes in at $85/L, and about 3/4 as capable (2537 cm3 for 4x GRS vs 3315 cm3 for 1x UM18) -- and you can set them up in a force-cancelling configuration. You could build 2x 4-driver subs within your $500 driver budget, although the layout probably doesn't work with the GSG flat pack.
I did mention it being used for theater setup. So need to go below 20Hz with decent output. 1100W@4ohm is the limit of AMPs Crown XLS1002(I cannot find anything better than for around that budget range. Not going to purchase Behringer AMPs had really bad experience with Behringer in the past). Room size 3000cuft Mid Size Room. 110-115db(1M) is the goal.Generally unsatisfying to deal with posts proposing untethered fantasy requirements. Yes decided to build own Enclosure. 15cuft enclosure. But unless I can find a better amp 1100W be the limit. In terms of Vd per dollar, the UM18 is difficult to beat at USD $90/L.
