Best tweeter for dollar from parts express. 1"

Any one? I am thinking to decide between these 2

On the last one it says frequency response is 2500-20000
But the 2 way speakers cross over is 2600hz.. do you think the cross over is a little to close to tweeters optimal performance?

This silk dome one seems like 1000hz-20000hz. But someone in reviews complained. Said the tweeter should be crossed at 2800hz

Really appreciate. Just need to decide soon. Or as they say asap

I haven't heard it but the DX25TG59 is very highly regarded and is used in designs such as Paul Carmody's Tarkus; I've read nothing but good about its sound and power handling. It's been described as "a beast" on another DIY site.

I've used the BC25TG several times, it sounds very nice but does not have the power handling of the DX. Have crossed the BC25TG anywhere from 2100 to 3000 Hz. Lower crossover points have generally required a third or fourth order crossover.

Never ordered from madisound.
What abour 8ohm super star tweeter on that site.. dimensions are not important.

Want to find something that will best Polk sl3000 or later model called rdo-198. Those are 6ohm tweeters but with little capacitor added can be fitted to replace 8 ohm sl 2000 (rdo-194) tweeters. Polk community seems like a tribe or North Korea or soviet union. " If you are not with us you are against us" sort of people. "Just get the polk rdo 198 bro or you will get banned from the forum".

I am not fanatic or anything..just like Polk sda idea. Cross talk cancelation.

There is some limited info on the Polk tweeters here.
Basically want to replace an 8 ohm sl2000 tweeter with something nicer than 6ohm rdo198(sl3000)..I have listened to sl2500(rdo194) tweeter. It's nice.. balanced but not fantastic and memorable for life

Wolf beat me to it, but the DX25BG60 is the best value you can get right now and is often referred to as the "Beast Mode" tweeter. Can go down to 1,500Hz and around 1,000Hz in a waveguide and most importantly sounds great. This tweeter has also been at PE for years and was around $37 and has finally gone "unavailable" in the last week or two. At $37 it was still one of the best tweeters for the money you could get.

(Edit: this is essentially the same as the Scanspeak Discovery D2604/833000 which runs about $55 at Madisound.)

It has higher high order products, but it tests reasonably well overall.

It also sounds excellent (even without removing any of the ferrofluid).

as a comparative example, I've also got this objectively over-performing (above 3 kHz) 3/4" tweeter and it's no where near as good sounding. Almost compressed-sounding by comparison.

(I think it's the same one in the new Buchardts - which could explain some of the so-so reviews on that product.)

By contrast the Q1r is smooth, clear, and "open" with pretty good "air". (..also read the Features/Comments section from HiFiCompass for the Q1r - he makes some apt comparisons that most probably have "glossed-over".)

Apparent build quality is also impressive for the Q1r. (..one of those things you hold in your hand and swear that its price is no where near $20.)
