Hi, how are you all?
What measures would you use to build a guitar cab with this woofer? Closed or open back?
Nominal Diameter: 8 inch

Operating Bandwidth: 70 ~ 4KHz (-3dB)
Power Handling Capacity: 100W RMS
Sensitivity (1W/M): 92 dB (±3dB)
Voice Coil Diameter: 2 inch
Resonance Frequency Fs: 65.2Hz
DC Resistance Re: 3.4Ohms
Mechanical Q Factor Qms: 3.7582
Electrical Q Factor Qes: 0.6279
Total Q Factor Qts: 0.538
Equivalent Cas air load Vas: 22.925 L

I do not think this would make a good guitar speaker. It is designed to put out bass which does not go well with our application. Google 8" guitar speakers.
Newark is a fine parts house, but won't have guitar speakers. MCM should have 8" guitar speakers.
You can also find selections of guitar speakers at amp part companies like AES.
Speakers - 8 inch | Antique Electronic Supply
You really do want a guitar speaker rather than a "woofer".

It's not a guitar speaker, but isn't a hi-fi woofer. It seems to be an economy small-PA mid-bass. Response is claimed to 4KHz, which covers much guitar and is typical for 8" paper. For ten bucks, it is worth a try.
It will NOT stand up to a 100 Watt guitar amp played near/past overdrive!! 20 Watt amp or less.
As a sealed box: 8"x8"x8" will be tubby, any larger size is fine for guitar use, no point going over 12"x12"x12". Don't make an exact cube- make one side longer and one side shorter.
Open-back design gets complicated and also depends on amplifier damping (or lack). Get a 24"x24" scrap of any plywood, chop the 8" hole a little off center, and try that. If bass is heavy, cut it down some. When you cut too much, put the scraps around as "sides" and call it done. There's no exact answer.
