Cambridge Audio D100. Worth upgrading?

I have just purchased a Cambridge Audio D100 Cd palyer of "The Bay". I don't know much about it, but it matches (visually) the cheapo DAB that I bought for my holiday house.

http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/summary.php?PID=37&Title=Summary Not alot of info.

I have opened it up and there is lots of spare space inside, and I was wondering wether it would be worth puting a replacement DAC in there.

I have a spare DIYPARADISE Monica2 available, or I have seen these on ebay which look interesting and cheap: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=300319212569

I could simply power the DAC using one of these that I have already bought: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=130300905483

Is this a good idea, or is the D100 going to be rubbish as a transport?

Sorry about the quality of the photos. My camera has died and I have had to use my phone.

If this is worth it, it will be replacing my Marantz CD50SE in my holiday house and joining my AUDIOLAB 8000A and my Isis Mk2 :http://www.xenophonics.net/indexeng.htm
