It is a long time ago that I saw drop type tantalum caps as these are famous for becoming short circuits and then they go out with a bang. This happens when used directly on power rails.
Possibly brands are different. Sizes seem different, this may be due to different voltage ratings. BTW always use types with at least 2x the voltage of the circuit.

Instead of the color, look at the mfr data sheets. The color may mean something to the mfr,
but not to you. But ensure that the voltage ratings are sufficient, because of the dangerous
failures of tantalum capacitors with marginal ratings.

hi- where is correct catagory to discuss microphones pleaseIt is a long time ago that I saw drop type tantalum caps as these are famous for becoming short circuits and then they go out with a bang. This happens when used directly on power rails.

I don’t know. It is AFAIK mainly a HiFi forum and studio stuff seems less popular here but I may be wrong.
Source & Line -> Analogue Source ?!?
Live Sound -> PA systems ?!?
Live Sound -> Instruments & Amps?!?
Try to find other stuff regarding microphones there. BTW your thread is about parts really.
