Suppose that I have a common computer audio interface (lets say focusrite scarlet 2i2) can I use the focusrite monitor outputs to drive a home preamp? (Like a class AB rotel 2x75w at 8ohms)?
Thanks you 🙂
Thanks you 🙂
If you mean home power amp then yes. You have to check the gain settings but should work fine. Only gotcha might be noise if you have to attenuate a lot.
Hi,
a good starting point will be:
adjust PC output at -3db, you can check this value with Focusruite Control panel .
set the scarlet 2i2 output at -1db , default focusrite setting from factory.
adjust the power amp attenuators to your preferred max listening level.
than use Focusrite Control panel to control your system volume.
