Hello out there
I have a B&O Beosound 3000 from '02 with a defective cd. The mechanism is a VAM 1253. It had difficuilty in reading the CD. When it succeed in reading the CD, it will play a couple of minutes, and return with the error (read in service mode) 37 : Translated in the service manual "Selection error". I cant figure out what that mean!
When it try to read the CD, the Focus is moving nice back and forth.
The output from the driver gives a nice output.
But the spindle motor does not run.
I can by the way see a wierd triangular waveform at the output from the driver, with a frequency of ~176khz.
This frequency is the same as the maximum operating frequency for the driver (TDA7073A). Maybee something is oscillating?
I can hear some acoustic noise when i rotate the disc with a finger.
But i cant really measure this triangular waveform at the input of the driver.
Have you heard about these driver fail?
Regards
Thomas

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
