I´am about to get a sony cd-player named X222ES.... I was only able to get info on the older cdp-222es (without X-).... The only thing I know is that it looks like the X333es... 🙂
so here my questions: what DAC uses this player? I hope no Sony CXDxxxx, they seem to be not a good basis for tweaking......
I would be happy about any info!!

thanks, but I already knew that site..... google doesn´t find much on that model....
But what do you think about sony cd-players? what I want is something to tweak und do some other stuff

I heared that the philips cd723 and so one are a solid basis... but currently there are no ones at ebay in my country.... I don´t want to spend much money on that....

I know that way back when I've had CDP X555ES and it is very hard to find one like that today, the sound was just amazing.
Today I have settled down with Sony CD C801ES and that is as well good build chassie but it is 5-cd player. Solid Copper chassie.

I know, the sony players have (had??) very good chassis...
But they often had some unknown Sony LSI´s inside, that makes a tweakers life not easier, hehe....
during the next week I´ll get the X222ES.... I´ll get it by myself, I don´t like the postal shipment from Germany to Austria.... a package like this would easily cost about 20€, that´s to much if the player costs only ~10€ ;-) and I don´t know what´s inside....
