I'm looking to get a sub build done for super cheap. I have a variety of subs on hand, and lots of plywood, but no amp. Plan is to hook it up with a soundbar that has wireless audio communication so I don't even want all the features a regular plate amp has. Just looking to plug a monoblock into a signal and hit the on switch but the cheapest I can find is $100+ in plate amp form. Ebay does show boards with this much power but I'm unsure about power supplies, most tripath boards I've worked with before only need a wallwart for their light output and all the dc power supplies I can find are more expensive than a full plate amp. Surely there's a bargain solution around or at least ideas? Thanks.

there will be a big price difference between 100 and 300w
parts express does black friday sales and you might see the good bash 300s down at 129 which for that money, is a best buy imo
it seems to be more reliable than many low cost amps and it does rated power

By the time it ships to canada parts-express us $130 becomes $200cad. I'm trying to stay below half that. And yes, I know there's a magnitude difference between 100w and 300w.
Maybe it's worth to try this question in the PA section. There are dozen of small studio monitors and PA speakers with plate amps build in. Maybe some of these amplifiers are sold seperately. Or a car audio mono amp?

I can't help but wonder what this TDA7293 X2PCS 170W Mono Amplifier Board KIT | eBay plus a suitable power supply would end up costing. I bet it would beat the cost of all of the suggestions (even the $60 120W plate amp) thus far.
