Cms parameter

Hi!
As far as i can understand, there is a significant inverse relationship between power handling and the Cms-parameter of a driver. It seems that drivers with high power handling tend to have a lower Cms-rating, which means stiffer suspension.

What are the "downsides" to a low Cms-rating? I can't see a strict relationship between sensitivity and suspension stiffness, but i might be wrong.

A stiffer suspension results in a higher resonance frequency, if the moving mass is kept equal. This in turn means that the driver has less low frequency extension. Furthermore, a stiffer suspensions results in a higher Qes unless the motor is stronger to compensate.
