I just built a pcm63 DAC kit with the following diagram:
I wish to connect this DAC with the Amanero USB iis interface
The following was connected as following:
CS8412 ----> Amanero USB
8 [GND]------>14 [gnd]
12[SCK] ------>5 [fsclk]
26[DATA] ------>3 [data]
19[MCK] ------>6 [mclk]
15[CBL] ------>4 [clk]
Everything was connected accordingly, but then there are noise and no sound at the speaker.
Is there anything about the clock?
I am a newbie and any help and guidance is appreciated
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Try with short cable and a GRD next to each signal,
And try without MCLK

How will that help? The wiring is wrong. What's more, according to the schematic, none of the chips on the board accept I2S.

Thanks, so the connection cable should be:
- shorter the better;
- may be a coax cable would do better, than an electrical wire...
- all the GND shall be combined together and merged to the digital receiver;
CS8412 ----> Amanero USB
8 [DGND]------>14 [gnd]
11 [FSYNC] ------>5 [fsclk]
26 [SDATA] ------>3 [data]
19 [MCK] ------>6 [mclk]
12 [SCK] ------>4 [clk]
Thanks! I will stick to that.
Try to determine which format receiver syplying to the oversampling filter DF.
With settings pins - look at the datasheet pleae.
BUT
I think that it is NOT I2S format that it goes into the DF chip?
Try to find in the datas for DF if it is input format listed I2S?
Maybe not?
So, You can damage the amanero interface and-or receiver chip + DF chip.
Be careful, PCM63 does not support I2S bus at all, maybe DF too
And most lightly the CS receiver did not set to export I2S to DF chip...
cheers
