I need to either make an input receiver for it, or figure out where to tie a coaxial lead to it.
There are many chips on the receiving board, some of which are covered up with stickers.
Should I post some pictures of it?

You could try posting pics of the board. They should be close up, high res pics so we can read part numbers on the chips. If you need to remove stickers to expose part numbers, then maybe take pics with the stickers and pics with them removed.
I strongly suspect that such a project is likely to end in tears, with you being left holding neither a working DAC, nor a working CD player. I know, it sound like such a conversion should be easy, but there are a number of potentially fatal project issues, both in terms of technical design, and in PCB hacking risk. If you’re in the mood for a project, why not consider building one of the many well subjectively regarded DAC projects available on this site? You could use your Micromega as a transport and easily A/B compare the sound of an external project DAC to the Micromega’s own internal DAC. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if the first DAC project you built sounded superior.
If you just really, really like the sound of your Micromega player, perhaps, the most practical alternative is simply to burn to CD whatever new tracks you wish to hear through it. Yes, that would be a bit cumbersome, but it’s certainly better than accidentally damaging your player beyond practical repair. It seems unlikely that you could find someone willing, and able, to repair such experimental modification damage.

The transport no longer works, so I want to use its dacs for my computer. Will this site load pictures from my harddrive?
Yes, this site accepts images and attachments, click on "Insert Image"
to upload images inline with your text. You can also just drag and drop them directly onto your post. Ctrl C and Ctrl V also work.. Just make sure to place the cursor where you want the image to appear.

Well, I tried to get pictures from the board with my cellphone, which failed because of its useless flash (not enough light)!
Anyway, I cannot find an input receiver anywhere on it, or the dac (WTF). The only chip that looks like one is an nm27c2560.

You don't have the schematics and manual? I see an Intel MCU and what might be a PROM - 28 pins - did it have a label on it? CD players do not have spdif input receivers. This looks like the control logic of the machine.

Like the STAGE 3 most cd players do not have an external input option hence no need for a receiver. In this case the key chip in converting the raw data off the cd to something acceptable to the dac is the SAA7345. You will have to replace the digital out of the SAA7345 with the output of whatever receiver setup you choose. You will also have to deal with emphasis and muting switching, if present,The NM had the label on it. My older players had receivers. OK. I have been looking at other dacs that may suite me such as 2 listed in the post below.
