hi!

i have a pair of old Wharfedale SVP-15 PA speakers, both of which have blown their HF protection bulbs on the crossovers. i can't find a replacement one online that looks like the one already in there - are there different ratings of these? how can i tell which one to get? there are no obvious markings on mine. i've attached pictures anyway, hope they help

EDIT: looking at 'SK3' bulbs which seem about right, but again i wasn't sure if these come in different ratings. don't want to put the wrong one in a blow the speakers!

thanks!

Thanks and please consider why the tweeter protection bulbs blew in the first place.

You may, or may not, be aware that this most commonly occurs when the power amp is underpowered rather than overpowered.

My apologies if I am teaching my Grandma to suck eggs! :cheerful:

No you're right, this is exactly what happened. i lent them to a friend but only had an underpowered amp to hand - i thought they'd be ok if they were careful. of course they immediately maxed out the volume knobs on both channels and returned to me with two broken speakers. my fault for taking the risk!
