Tube types: 2x 6N1 & 2x 6P1 with "primary optical function"[/B][/SIZE]
As if the tubes are just for show !
Who would fall for that? (47 Sold)
Do she install her scrap Tubes there?

Probably so, why would they use good tubes they could sell in a real tube amp?

I s'poze. Use it for a night light and then get a real tube amp, if tubes are what you like.

Those things have been on the market for years. There was a huge uproar because they were advertised as a "tube amplifier" with no mention of a silicon output stage. People started posting on the internet that the tubes were more or less just for show, so the cat was out of the bag. Originally sold under a variety of names, Monoprice, Nodsound etc.

Yeah, the funny thing is, the tubes are actually in the circuit, but not really doing anything. Someone on youtube pulled one apart and bypassed the tubes. They said it sounded ok.
