Hi,
I've recently bought a nice power amp Cyrus Audio Power. It sounds superbly, and I wish to connect it to my beloved PSX-R power supply.
Similarly of what I did with my Cyrus III, I suppose that some modifications will have to be done inside the power amp.
Someone has any idea about?
Thanks a lot in advance to everyone for your (always!) precious hints.
Ciao, Paolo

A fully regulated 300W DC power supply, the PSX-R uses intelligent connectivity which automatically adjusts its output parameters to suit the partnering Cyrus component.
Connection to a partnering Cyrus unit is made through a high quality XLR cable. In all instances this audiophile power supply can be added into the system without any changes to the existing components.

Yes, this is 100% true with any recent Cyrus Audio amp.
Unfortunately, the old generation of Cyrus amps and power amps was not ready to be connected to a PSX-R without modifications.
It has to be said that those interventions are quite simple to do, it's a matter of few coloured wires and a couple of jumper links to be repositioned internally.
The problem, is to know how...😕

Doesn't the user manual for the Power amp give instructions? It is only a manner of disconnecting the local PS to the amp board, there should be jumper wires.
They write that you need to install the connector "5" pins

Ok. Seems this amp is more complicated than the 3 and 3i i have experience with.
The PSXR uses a simple ttl logic circuit to determine whether an amp or something else is connected and adjusts the output voltage between 22v and 35v. It also monitors the power on/off button of the amp. At least that is how the old PSXR i reversed decades ago worked.

Bingo!!!

Thanks a lot to everyone answering me for the attention, you're always so kind.
See you next time, Paolo
