DAC MAGIC 100 Service manuel - Required
Hello everyone,
Needed service manual for Cambridge Audio dac magic 100. I have a problem with the usb input it seems to be locked and a reset procedure is necessary. I actually have two devices with the same problem if anyone has an idea experience or manual I would be grateful, optical and coax input work without problems.
Thanks in advance

Hello ManoloMos, thank you very much for the reply I will be very happy if be a problem with the driver but it's not the USB port is completely dead but it's not shorted.Something get wrong with ROM I personally think.
The new DAC unit, before the USB port stopped functioning, it started interrupting during the activation of home appliances. (Reproduction completely stops and it needs to be turned off and on again in order to work) very strange behavior. After that, the USB completely stopped functioning, and the computer cannot recognize the DAC unit.
The problem with the older DAC unit is very similar to new one, except the computer can't recognize the driver, no samplig led indicator turned on.

DAC MAGIC 100 usb port problem solved!
Finally solve the problem with the Cambridge audio dac magic 100.
I replace the chip qfn package USB3340 it's a USB 2.0 transceiver also try to understand what exactly happend.
Finally found the inductive switching transients spikes from my cooling water machine during switching off, voltage collapsing and destroy my usb port.
I change the plug to a different phase and buy APC surge protect power strip
Now everything working perfect, hope to help someone.
Best regards.

To carry out a reset, press and hold the power on button while you plug the power supply into the DAC.
· Press the source button repeatedly until the 88.2KHz LED comes on.
· Press standby button again.
· The USB input LED will blink fast, then stop.
· Then S/P DIF 1 LED will comes on.

Would you expand on how this damage to the USB port happened, if you know more?

Thank you, explaining how this happend is in post number 4 of this thread.
Every time when compresor of cooling water machine turnf off I can hear pop up in speaker and after several days dac start interrupting during reproduction and finaly stop recognize driver.Hello Andersonix,
Thank you, explaining how this happend is in post number 4 of this thread.
I forgot to mention that I contacted Cambridge audio and they did not want to provide the documentation because it contains elements of a trade secret.
They referred me to the representatives, and there this board is not repaired, but a complete replacement
