-costs a bit less (..particularly with the sales price) than the originals, and is more efficient (..if not exactly "efficient" given the less than 4 ohm average).
Top-ocatve looks better on the fabric version, particularly for an off-axis reference listening axis.
The only thing that bothers me is the dip around 2 kHz, which often concides with a narrow band "dip" baffle diffraction on narrow baffles (as it starts into "oscilating" the response higher in freq. - baffle-edge dependent).
Coil damping from the ferrofluid *might* be less than desirable as well (subjectivly, not objectivly) - but that's something that remains to be heard (or not).

-that's because they are brand new, and won't be out (available) for a few days.
I thought the first batch went out a couple weeks ago? I could have sworn I read some folks already got theirs, which is why it's sold out again.
..if so, that's news to me. (..and it might well be, don't know.)
Note though that new products will often be "out of stock" as a listing for pre-sale conditions.

Double checked and yes first batch went out. Some folks already have theirs at PETT, sold out quickly so this is the next batch coming in.
