I have a Deaf Bonce AAB-7800.1D which is supposed to be made by soundigital, it is a copy of the 8000.1 evo I think, It is supposed to be a full bridge amplifier (I was told). Its problem was when powered up it would instantly light up the clip indicator light. I was told the amp was mounted to the sub woofer box, so we opened it up and looked for some vibration damage. Found some, one of the output filter coils had snapped its leg. Removed the coil, matched the wire awg, and repaired. Reinstalled the coil and E6000ed it in. The amp would then power up just fine and play. Put it back in the heat sink and tested it lightly for a little bit, thinking that was all that was wrong with it (my mistake, should have tested it hard). buddy came to pick it up, I hooked it back up on the bench to show him it was working, played it lightly for a minute, and then it seemed to make a noise (not a pop, but a thump is more like it, maybe due to it being hooked to a sub). The clip light is now back on. GGGRRRR! Getting ready to take it back out of the case and check the big output filter caps, anyone work on one of these, the driver chips etc are defaced. And the PIC16F1828 chip is what turns on the clip indicator (from pin 13). Any help before we ship it out would be great! Thanks.
