Does anyone have any drawings of parts for the Schroeder tonearm? I am drawing it up by making educated guesses but would appreciate any real measurements I can get. Also, does it use 2 magnets pulling each other or one magnet and a piece of steel? Also if anyone knows any reference drawings of getting the tonearm length for a given pivot to spindle distance it would be appreciated, Thank you

That is the most comprehensive accumulation of info on the Schroeder I have come across.
Frank participates in the thread and is tolerant/helpful to DIYers.
There are digital images if mechanical drawings posted for some of the more ambitious builds.
I don’t think you will find anyone posting detailed measurements from an original arm out if respect for Frank and/or copyrights.
That said, it is VERY helpful and informative.
BTW…its two magnets.

It isn't a violation of a patent to build one for yourself as long as you do not make money on it. It is only when there is financial gain involved OR loss of revenue for the patent holder that its an offense. otherwise there is nothing to sue for.
No argument from me.
I just don’t think you will find anyone posting dimensioned drawings from an original arm or one that uses Frank’s patent design out of respect for him…and also to discourage anyone that might have a different interpretation of patent law than you or me from trying to use them as a basis for a sellable product.

Why open a new thread when there is already one that's so comprehensive? Can't the moderator move this over there?
