DIY XLR mic AB switch

Hello guys! New member here 🙂



I'm trying to build my own microphone AB switch. Something like this:

But both of them are specified only for use with dynamic microphones. I want to use it also with condenser mic but I can't figure out how to do the wiring so there are no pops because of the phantom power.


What it should have:
1 XLR input
2 XLR outputs
Should be able to be used with dynamic or condenser microphones (with phantom power)
Optional LED indicator of either channel


Is there anyone who has already tried something like this? Or someone who would be able to help me?

It looks like I would need to make the 48V phantom power supply (I want to house everything in the same box) and then use passive AB switch which should be simple. So my other question is. Does anyone know how to make phantom power supply?

I agree with MAACO, look at that Behringer Xenyx802 mixer, or the Mackie Mix8, Mackie 402VLZ4, Yamaha MG06, and others. They are all very similar - two XLR inputs with phantom power. They even have some EQ. Unlike a simple A/B switch, you can mix levels for mics that do not naturally have the same output levels. Some include an FX send.
 
Hi and sorry if i jump. I am looking for a little mixer but with a very low Equivalent Input Noise from the mic input.
I have already a Mackie 402VLZ4 that is said to be very ok in this regard but i wonder if there is any thing beating it for lowest noise.
I will be using it as a noise analyzer through headphones. High efficiency. Like a stetoscope let's say.
