This diy subwoofer made by Toids DIY Audiolooks is very impressive.
It does require room gain and dsp to go to 20hz.

This 21" designed by Ricci can go as low as 14.5Hz , you have 4 options on how low you want to hit.
See the notes below
"Vent Tuning: All vents open = 29.5Hz / 3 vents open = 25.5Hz / 2 vents open = 20.5Hz / 1 vent open = 14.5Hz"

What Toid doesn't know, is that the Roxul TAKES AWAY volume in those boxes due to it being so dense. It's better to use something open-cell for stuffing, and thinner for lining that what he did here, or sparingly when using the Roxul. That said, the performance he measured is legit, and the solution with DSP boost worked well.
I’m new to the hobby, can some explain me how to choose between pro woofer and high Xmax woofer?
I want to build a subwoofer soon, and I’ve been suggested both.
After seeing this video, I can see the pro woofer can go as low than high excursion drivers. And in general, they are louder from 50 upward.
Also, the linked privided by maxolini amaze me! It’s amazing what people can come up with! 🤯

Do you have the cabinet already? How many liters of volume, depending on that you need to find a driver that fits your cabinet volume, normally the manufacturer recommends a given enclosure volume for a given driver.Any alternative for SB Audience Rosso 21SW800 for sealed cabinet subwoofer?
Most of the time the car audio brands do it like that, PA or HT are more tricky. As you need to come up with the calculations by yourself.

What cabinet volume do you want to use it in, what's your sensitivity needs and desired F3/F6/F10
Just so small as in project - 6 cft (about 150 dm3).What cabinet volume do you want to use it in, what's your sensitivity needs and desired F3/F6/F10
I know only one other driver that is perfect for this kind of sub - RCF LF21N401.
Is there some more 21" woofers good for sealed box?
If I were to buy a large PA subwoofer. I would go for the SB Audience BIANCO-18SW450.
It's a 18" woofer that can be had for 166 euro. So if you buy 2 of them. Then they are cheaper than the 21" and have more surface area.
2 of the 18"s simulate a little better than the 21" in a slightly larger case.

Nowhere would be my guess. The 18" are 166 euro where the 21" are 399 euro at the time of the comment. But now the 21" are only 332 euro. Exactly twice the price of the 18"sWhere is any/all 21" available at this ~ $172 price?!
So now the 21" is a little more enticing
168 Euro when buying 4 woofers - still good priceHere.

Yeah, shouldn't have tried to read it without my contacts; still, heck of a price for any decent 18" in my locale.Nowhere would be my guess.
For 4x SB Audience BIANCO-18SW450 charge to ship is 336 Euro (46 kg), but price for speakers drop to 117 Euro/pc (maybe without tax). Total price with shipping (4-8 days) is 806 Euro. How much they charge to ship from overseas to the US.
