a friend of mine have Emotiva B1 speakers . B1+ is the new updated speaker. Specs looks the same but the sound should be a different. While the speaker is good he said that he misses a bit highs on the tweeters It seems that many have done tweeter crossover bypass mod as this one

I ended up adding a pair of film bypass caps across the tweeter crossover capacitor. That fixed that problem. I used a polypropylene .1 uf 400V InfiiniCap with a .01 uf 630V polystyrene...
Have any of you done this mod maybe ?
Any suggestions other mods?

Apparently, there is no change from the B1 to the B1+ as far as networks go. An industry insider told me this after he verified it. I watched him remove the terminal plate and make sure.

I own THE said set of speakers. For the money they would be very hard to beat. I think that the "+" was an improvement on a component not the crossover.
I'm surprised someone would call them lacking on the top end. I also am sceptical that bypass caps could have changed the sound so much it goes from lacking to good. This sounds more like a placebo than an actual sonic improvement. Better room placement would likely yield a much more dramatic improvement.
