Hello any advice would be greatly appriciated, i hVe just bought 2 elx118p subs and 2 ZLX15P tops. Can anyone tell me about the mic/line faderon the speaker do we put that quite high and the alter the master on the speaker? With regards to the subs do we setthem to around 120hz and on Boost for live show. We also use the allen and hearh wz3 16.2 s desk, so subs chained to mono and tops to left&right or from desk to top then link down ro sub each side. Any advice would be great thank you
You will be feeding these speakers a line level signal so always set any mic/line switches to line.
I tend to not use a boost option on subs where available, it doesn't gain you anything.. it won't make the sub play louder and any amount of boost produced by the option has to be countered by a like reduction in master gain to maintain the same drive level.
The non defeatable crossover in the sub is 100hz so that is the high pass I suggest you use on the tops.
The subs have a pass through so connect from the desk to the subs first and then link out from there to the ZLXs, no sense running 2 cables up the stands.
