Is anyone using the FANE 12-250TC in less than 80L?
They seem quite good fun/value and Id, initially, like to try them in a compact'ish box: 600x390x260 HxWxD mm.
Speaker Box Lite is telling me 40L will have a QTC of .95 and F3 @70Hz... I assume stuffing and an aperiodic vent will help tame the peaky low end. Looking to crossover to my sub at 120Hz-80Hz so digging any deeper isn’t necessary.
Thanks for any input.

I would use it sealed in that little space (that is about 42L with 18mm wood) and eq the low end flat with your crossover. That can even be done passive (if the power used is limited) if needed with a cap and a resistor. And that can work. I did do that for someone with a 80L cabinet altough (and an active analog cr custom made by the owner for it).
With a heavily stuffed cab and some stufffing wrapped around the chassis you may be able to get pretty damn close to a qtc of 0.707, then overlay a 2nd order Butterworth to obtain a 4th order LR.
sounds like what thx used to do, aim for satellites naturally rolling 12db at 80hz, roll those off (high pass) 12db/octave electronically at 80hz.
That sums for a 24db roll off at 80hz, then roll subwoofer electronically 80hz@24db.

Using a pair here in some old Goodmans magnum sl cabs i had laying around. They was put in just to test the drivers a 70mm x 105 mm port was in the hf hole and just blocked the mid hole driver drops onto original mounting studs, must say they sound great guess this will slow down progress on my new cab build which was going to be around 80ltr sealed
