I am trying to fine tune a pair of Bose 901 V (with the "tulip" stands) that I selflessly gave (or "managed to dump on an unsuspecting..." depends on your bias I guess!) friend. As set up, everything sounds quite good. One problem is hardwood floors and the stands that crush the speaker cable between base and floor. Never having owned a new pair, I don't know what if any feet the stand had. I've used wooden blocks under them but I wanted something a bit more elegant for the girlfriend and to impress her with my finesse. Can anyone out there suggest something? I have some of the felt or rubber stick-on coasters/feet but a problem is that the base is angled, not flat. Please, help the Soldermizer get laid and/or prevent a future short in a speaker wire. 🙂
